Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection
Ordinare operates with a strong commitment to privacy. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from your browsing activity. All bookmark data and associated metadata (e.g., URLs, titles, descriptions) are processed locally within your browser. No information about your bookmarks is transmitted to our servers or any third-party services unless explicitly authorized by you for AI categorization using a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model.
2. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) Usage
Ordinare supports AI categorization through a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model. When you configure your own API key for services like OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic, your bookmark data (URLs, titles, descriptions) is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you selected. We do not intermediate this data or store your API key on our servers. Your API key is securely stored in your browser's local storage and is only used for direct communication with your chosen AI provider.
It is your responsibility to review the privacy policies of the AI providers you choose to understand how they handle your data.
3. Local Storage
Ordinare utilizes your browser's local storage to save your settings, preferences, custom profiles, and your BYOK API keys. This data remains on your device and is not accessible by Ordinare's developers or any external servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser's extension management or settings.
4. No Tracking
We do not employ any analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or pixels. Ordinare is designed to be a private tool that respects your online activity. There is no usage tracking, telemetry, or behavioral analysis conducted by the extension.
5. Third-Party Services
As described in the BYOK section, Ordinare allows you to integrate with third-party AI model providers. These may include, but are not limited to:
- OpenRouter: For accessing various AI models.
- OpenAI: For powerful language models.
- Anthropic: For their Claude series of models.
When you use these services via your own API key, your data is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. Ordinare is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party providers.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
